We did a lot of research on recycling programs to find what we considered to be amongst the best printer cartridge recycling programs.  With a well chosen company to work with, a printer cartridge recycling program is a very easy and cost effective fund raiser.  Practically everyone can get involved, there is no selling of items that people often would never really buy except that it's for a "good cause" and it also spreads the very positive message and action of recycling.

We chose to endorse the organization listed above because 1) they accept, recycle and pay for all undamaged print cartridges (please refer to their program for details).  Many printer cartridge programs will only pay for the small desktop type cartridges that have a print head and won't accept (or pay for) the larger ones from copiers, etc. at all.  2) This is the only company we found who will recycle and pay for Epson cartridges, in particular.  3) The simplicity of an organization being able to send in any and all cartridges received from their sources, without having to organize volunteers to pick through and try to figure out which ones the company will pay for (or recycle at all) and which they won't (potentially leaving you with a pile of cartridges you'll have to figure out what to do with).

This particular program is available to non-profit organizations only.  But it is an excellent one that is well suited for schools and other educational organizations that work with children and also appears to be easy for teachers and parents alike to organize and benefit from.
